Classic American Beef Steak Cheeseburgers
2 packages Munson Premium Angus Ground Beef
4 hamburger buns, split
4 slices cheese (Cheddar, American, Swiss, etc.)
2 lettuce leaves
4 tomato slices
1. Semi defrosting each package. Use easy "cut and form-it" yourself packaging by dividing package in half using a knife to cut straight through packaging. Remove beef from packaging and lightly shape into 2 thick patties per package. Avoid handling or compressing ground beef. (Overhandling causes changes in overall texture and taste.)
2. Place patties on grid over medium, ash-covered coals. Grill, uncovered, 13 to 15 minutes to medium (160F) doneness, until not pink in center and juicies show no pink color, turning occasionally. About 2 minutes before burgers are done, place buns, cut sides down, on grid. Grill until lightly toasted. During last minute of grilling, top each burger with cheese.
3. Line bottom of each bun with lettuce leaf; top with tomato slices and burger. Close sandwiches. Enjoy!
Makes 4 servings.
